Who is Kay?
After his high school graduation in 1983, Kay van de Linde moves to New York City to start his career in the mailroom of The Garth Group, the political media consulting firm founded by legendary media maven, David Garth. In 1988, Kay received his BA in Political Science from Columbia University. After moving up through the ranks, Kay is promoted to President of the Garth Group in 1993, after the successful campaign making Rudy Giuliani Mayor of New York. In January of 2001, Kay returns to Europe to become campaign strategist of the new political movement Leefbaar Nederland. After the elections of 2002, Kay starts to focus on corporate consulting. In 2004 he becomes partner at HVR in The Hague. And in 2008 he launches his own firm, Press Strategies. He specializes in press strategy, positioning, reputation management, issue management, crisis communications and political campaigns.
